About Us

Built on the chair, not the hype

Twelve years, one philosophy: a haircut is a craft, and craft takes time to get right.

The Story

From a two-chair shop to Riga's go-to barbershop

Blackstone Barber Co. started in 2014 in a converted workshop with two chairs, one sink, and a founder who’d spent a decade cutting hair in shops that cared more about turnover than technique.

The idea was simple: slow down. Train barbers properly. Charge fairly for real craft. Word spread fast.

Today we run six chairs and a small team of master barbers, but the shop still runs on the same rule it opened with: no cut leaves the chair until the barber — not the clock — says it’s done.

Our Mission

We exist to make sure every man who sits in our chair leaves looking sharper than when he walked in — and never has to explain his haircut to his barber twice.

What Sets Us Apart

Four things every client notices

Real apprenticeships

Every barber trains a minimum of three years under a master barber before working solo on the floor.

Hot towel, every time

Every service — from a quick trim to a full shave — includes a hot towel step. Not an upsell, it’s standard.

Appointments with breathing room

We book fewer clients per day than most shops on purpose, so your barber never has to rush.

Products we'd actually use

Our shelf is curated, not sponsored — every pomade, oil and balm is something your barber uses.
